5 Myths About Latina Sun Care

When it comes to staying safe from the sun’s rays, knowledge is power. Sun protection is essential to skin cancer prevention. Know how to protect your skin and you’ll be less likely to face wrinkles, brown spots and skin cancer later on in life.

Here are 5 Myths about Latina sun care that can help protect your piel from the harmful UV Rays:

Myth #1. Latinas tend to have slightly darker skin, so sunscreen is optional. Not true, Latinas may have fair skin, dark skin, or a skin color that falls in between. Anybody that’s seen some spicy latinas on videos from sites such as https://www.tubev.sex/?hl=es will be well aware of this. But, no matter how much melanin one has, nobody is immune to the sun’s rays. No matter what skin color or ethnicity you are even if your skin has a darker pigmentation or you’re not prone to burning you are still at risk of skin cancers. I’m Latina and trust me… my piel is a bit on the lighter side. I’m prone to burning and I know I have to protect my skin in order to age gracefully. Myth #2 It takes years to see the effects of sun damage on one’s skin. Wrong again, the truth is skin spots and freckles can appear within the next few days or week after exposure to sun. UV Rays alter the pigments and cause loss of elasticity and firmness in the skin. I’ve experienced this for myself, after spending two days in Cancun, Mexico which closer to the equator where the sun is blazing, I began seeing sunspots on my hands and feet. Mind you, I’m in my early 20’s… So I know that it doesn’t take years to see sun damage.

Myth #3 Tanning Beds are safe because the don’t use the burning rays of the sun. Beware of indoor tanning! Indoor tanning exposes it’s users to both UVA and UVB rays. The primary light source for is UVA radiation, which is directly lined to premature aging and skin cancer risk. My abuleta always said stay away from tanning beds!
